Meet me in the bathroom, the documentary based on Lizzy Goodman’s 2017 book, offers an in-depth take on the indie rock boom in New York in the early 2000s, when bands like Interpol, The Strokes, The Rapture and Yeah Yeah Yeahs boomed for the first time. Goodman’s book was an instant hit upon its release, and a feature-length documentary from directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, who have previously made films on Blur and LCD Soundsystem, was quickly ordered.

This film has been making the rounds at film festivals this year and will finally hit the big screen in November. It will first screen in New York and Los Angeles on November 4, before expanding for a single night on November 8. A new trailer for the film, featuring archive footage from Julian Casablancas, Karen O, James Murphy, and more, can be viewed below.
